Since any place you visit will have its own cultural dictionary, I decided to school you on the terms you MUST know if visiting this funny, charismatic rock, words that when I got there threw me for a what-did-you-say loop. This is serious business (which is why it is bolded and in large, pink print) because without these terms you will be super frustrated in DR trying to figure out what the heck they’re talking about. These aren’t your run of the mill 101 terms – the basic words of all languages like hola or gracias or baño – these are the lingo, the real talk, the words that will unlock a piece of real culture.
