The first was that I wanted to continue my writing career. We are not struggling – we fly home to NJ twice a year, go out with friends, and go away on long weekends (check the Instagram) but I’d like to have more of a savings and make additional income.

On the same thread, coming into this past school year (Sept. 2016), Husband and I knew we were coming towards the end of our life in the Dominican Republic due to schooling issues. I knew that in looking for our next destination there would be 2 questions to ask: 1. Do you offer tuition for both kids and 2. Can we afford to live there on one salary. While both of us are invested in my writing career, having additional income would take that second question off our shoulders.

If I could find something that offered me the freedom to continue my writing career, the freedom to make whatever destination decision we wanted without thinking financially, and the freedom to work from anywhere – I’d take it.

Still, I wasn’t totally convinced when I joined Rodan + Fields that this would be for me; I had a long list of doubts (skeptical, remember?).
