An Easy Beer Cocktail by Husband: The Accidental Rusa Volcano by Me

I discovered The Rusa, an easy beer cocktail, by mistake. Last year, on a trip to Ajijic, we went to an “interesting” restaurant. One of those places where you order something off the menu and they said they don’t have it. So, I ordered a beer and while they did have beer, they didn’t have cold beer. Full stop. Whaaaat?! Like Mexico just seems like the kind of place where you may run out of eggs for your omelet but you don’t run out of cold beer. Yet, here I was.

He saw the confusion on my face and quickly offered me a Rusa. He explained to me that it was lime with beer and ice and because I don’t discriminate, I said yes. A goblet of cold, limey beer in ice heaven was set upon me, and life has never been the same.

If you think about it, it makes sense. It’s a Corona with lime but with a lot more lime and ice. It is beyond easy to make and refreshing AF for hot Mexican weather.  Cheers, bitches. Enjoy it.
