30 Mexican Instagram Shots That Have Me Stoked about Mexico

February 17, 2017

We are in the midst of Dominican Heritage month here in DR, but for obvious reasons, I have Mexico on the mind. I’ve exchanged emails with another Jen in Guadalajara, asking questions and trying to build – as best I could – an understanding of what we’re getting ourselves into. I’ve searched around for blogs based in Mexico to get a feel for what life will be like there. And Instagram has me bubbling with anticipation. I searched hashtags like #culturamexicana #diadelosmuertos #mexicanfashion and #mexicanbloggers and these Mexican Instagram pictures are the result. Exploring Mexico is going to be awesome for so many reasons but here are 30…

Because Chichen Itza is an obvious duh!

because the culture is so rich

Because their history is valued

 BECAUSE I CAN’T WAIT TO DECORATE IN BRIGHT COLORS

because 10 years ago i saw pictures of san miguel de allende and have wanted to go ever since.

because there are so many traditions i want to learn about

Because I’m totally dressing my kids like this. Yes. Mustache too.

Because i am totally going to wear this outfit

Because pretty much everything in this gallery!

@El Rincón de Victoria

because i want a mariachi band to serenade me outside my window

Seriously, Husband. Make that happen.

BECAUSE dead people scare me but día de los muertos is STARTING TO GROW ON ME

Because this is my kind of party

Because Frida everything

@diademuertosstore @lcareaga @nattaliacarmen

including this Halloween costume

because trying new things (like beer) is important

because tacos for days

because all the fun!

Piñatas

Churros

And Margs, of course!

Because there are so many beautiful landscapes that I’ll have to make another list just for travel, but here’s a few

because I get to explore it all with my family!

    1. I’m going to find all the fun things for you and I to romp around and enjoy! Mostly, the margs and mariachi music. Some more midnight dancing perhaps?
