One of our favorite things — dare I say — the favorite thing about our home in Guadalajara, is the corner market across the street that sells (well, everything, but in this case) fresh juice every morning. In less than one minute and for less than one dollar, we get the most deliciously sweet orange juice. (Or grapefruit, carrot, tangerine, or green juice). I can say the most delicious because – true story – before moving to Mexico I actually hated OJ. The smell. The taste. The pulp. Even the thought. And now I drink it by the gallon. You’d have to pry it from my tight grip to get me to share. So it was only a matter of time before we used this fresh-from-the-heavens-and-squeezed-by-the-hands-of-angels OJ in one of Husband’s delicious mixed cocktails.
In today’s episode we decided to not only use that divine Mexican orange juice & grapefruit juice but the most Mexican thing we know… tequila. Then we rounded it out with bubbly to mix up a Guadalajaran spin of a mimosa for what Husband would call a “Good Morning, Guadalajara.”
